The Richmond Group is glad to have worked with National Voices. the Patients Association, Healthwatch England and our member Versus Arthritis to help NHS England shape updated guidance for hospital Trusts.
The jointly-branded documents set out core principles and practical guidance to help ensure that people facing long waits for elective care as a result of pandemic backlogs are supported with good communication and access to relevant information about sources of help.
The Group's Director, Neil Tester, welcomed the launch of the updated guidance: "Now's the time for hospital teams across the NHS to use these tools to support people who are waiting, while the service continues its long-term effort to get waiting times down and reduce the pain and distress that long and uncertain waits are causing. I hope the guidance will be widely read and implemented."
